Corrugated Profiles
The need to go below a thickness of 0.8 mm has always been prevented by the difficulty of calendering PC at lower thicknesses. It is on this market need that BG Plast has concentrated its efforts by studying a calender to produce a calibrated optical quality foil with a minimum thickness of 0.5 mm.
This is possible thanks to extremely robust rolls with an internal high flow circulation system for the thermoconditioned fluid.
After the calender, the PC foil, co-extruded with an anti-UV layer, passes through a controlled softening oven and then enters the forming unit, which consists of a series of metal alloy rollers, thermally controlled and shaped according to the profile design to be given to the sheet.
The forming unit can be easily disassembled to allow a rapid change of the forming rollers.
The line is completed by a special take-off unit that can be easily adapted to the several geometries, obtained by different forming rolls, and a cutting unitwith automatic stacker for placing the sheets directly on pallets: ready for shipment.
